Darcy Roper Jumps his way into a Gold Medal and World Junior Qualifier

Darcy Roper has won the first head-to-head battle between himself and Jack Hale, taking out the Gold medal in the men’s under 18 Long Jump competition. Roper’s jump of 7.66m not only secured him the first posititon, but also qualifies him for World Juniors next year.

New South Wales athlete David Chen finished in silver position with a best jump of 7.28m, with Hale coming in third with a 7.00m jump.
