Strong Performance by Women’s Team at the World University Cross Country Championships

Whilst all eyes were on Perth for the Australian Junior Athletics Championships and then Perth Track Classic, a team of Australian athletes were over in Italy competing at the 2016 World University Cross Country Championships.

The women were up first with Laura Donegan and Danielle Allen both finishing in the top ten. The team finished fourth overall with 41 total points. Next up was the men’s race. Louis McAfee didn’t start with Joe Burgess coming in 58th place and Ryan Geard finishing in 66th. The team didn’t place due to only having two runners.
