Australia has a huge and growing presence in the United States and it’s great to hear so many of our born and bred Aussies are doing so well. Over the weekend University of Wisconsin Freshman Morgan McDonald broke the universities 5000 metres record with a time of 13 minutes, 34.78 seconds.
“I couldn’t be happier with my performance,” McDonald said. “I think it’s a reflection of all of the hard work that we’ve been putting in. When I think about all of the great distance runners that have come through Wisconsin it feels amazing to be a step closer to being mentioned among them.”
