Rio Olympians Peter Bol and Linden Hall have taken out the Men’s and Women’s 1500 metre races at last night’s Victorian Milers Club meet at Box Hill Athletics Track. Bol lead the way for majority of the race but was challenged continuously by Eddie Vining and Reilly Shaw. It came down to Vining and Bol with fifty metres to go, with Bol eventually crossing the line first in a time of 3:42.35, just ahead of Vining’s 3:42.45.
The women’s A race was a little different with Linden Hall running in a race of her own when pace maker Anneliese Rubie stepped off the track six-hundred metres into the race. In a first for the Victorian Miler’s Club competition, Hall crossed the line in under 4:10 with a time of 4:09.26. Rounding out the top three was Whitney Sharpe (4:21.00) and Georgia Griffith (4:22.46).
