Fans Furious with Channel 7 Already
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Opening Ceremony starts at 6AM AEST yeah? That’s what Channel 7 have been saying all along. Well, apparently the coverage of the “Opening Ceremony” begins then, however the actual “Ceremony” doesn’t start until 9AM AEST.

Channel 7 haven’t gotten off to a great start with their “Best ever” Olympic coverage. Fans are furious with the network, and for good reasons.

There official 7Olympic Facebook Page has been flooded with messages from angry fans who got up early on their days off to watch the Ceremony.

Channel 7

That’s not it either, they also got flooded with Angry tweets.

@Channel7 why advertise 6am when the actual ceremony doesn’t start until 8:50…. Thanks. #Olympics2016 #OpeningCeremony #aus

@Channel7 disgusted. U advertise opening at 6am. Kids woken and sitting on a couch a waiting..to find 3 hours more. Not happy, poor start

— Scott Watson (@scottyoddjob) August 5, 2016

@Channel7 misleading you jokers. Tell us it is pre opening ceremony interviews at 6 and the ceremony at 9. #falseadvertising

— Cornerpostb4maranta (@Mr_s888) August 5, 2016

@Channel7 so why did you advertise that it started at 6am if it doesn’t start for a “couple of hours”.???

— MADDIE (@unomadds) August 5, 2016

Hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come.
