How did you get involved in Athletics?
My parents put my into tiny tots at Bankstown Sports when I was 5 and have done it ever since.
When you first heard that you made the team, what was your initial reaction?
I was in class at school when I got the call and the teacher we had wouldn’t let me answer the phone hahaha, but when I finally got the news I was over the moon!
Are you doing anything differently in preparation for this competition?
Nothing different to normal but were making sure that I complete all my sessions both gym and track and that all sessions are done with quality.
What are you most looking forward to about the trip to Eugene (USA)?
Competing at the top level against the worlds best athletes and having all my hard work and dedication coming together to produce something special.
Who has been your biggest inspiration in this sport?
Ever since I was little Id love watching Jeremy Wariner and more recently Christophe Lemaitre run, being a white guy I found that they are athletes that I can relate and look up too.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking to become a professional Athlete?
Surround your self with good people both on and off the track, work very very hard never taking shortcuts or making excuses. Most importantly you have to love and enjoy the sport.
